Project BOKS

The manual originated within the project BOKS (Broadband – Osvětová Kampaň pro Samosprávu/Broadband - Edifying Campaign for Self-government).

On 24 October, 2005 Ministry of Informatics of the Czech Republic (MI CR) called for proposals in support of projects developing high-speed access to the Internet for the year 2006 (on the grounds of the Government Resolution No. 105 of 26 January, 2005). The company Triada Ltd. (See http://www.micr.cz/scripts/detail.php?id=3261) is one of the chosen ones to carry out one of the chosen projects. The company Triada Ltd. is among others a supplier of information system for towns and municipalities. The project BOKS is co-financed through the medium of Ministry of Informatics by financial means from the state budget according to the Government Resolution No. 105 of 26 January 2005. Information presented in the manual can be divided into two following areas:

Information society and eGovernment

An introduction to the world of more and more often used terms which also concern the work of self-governments in the field of informatics. This issue is nowadays perceived not only from the point of view of informisation of employment office, but also from the point of view of availability of services provided in an electronic way, education, general development of the municipality, and also from the point of view of support of participation of citizens on administration of public matters. There are named possibilities of cooperation and efficient use of financial means from the EU programmes.

Best practices within JROP, Measure 2.2

We offer you a selection of already realized successful projects in the area of ICT in the Czech Republic (Best Practices) and some victorious projects of the call for proposals in support of projects developing high-speed access to the Internet for the year 2006 – this call for proposals was announced by MI CR.
